For our fourth and final event for this semester, UNSW UNIT welcomes you to attend a seminar on technical analysis by Tahir Omeri, director and president of the Australian Technical Analysts’ Association (ATAA), Sydney!

In this upcoming seminar, Tahir will introduce fresh perspectives on Technical Analysis. He will give his reasons why every normal person can be assured of success, introduce the Poisson distribution and explain Tahir’s Theorem as a much superior alternative to the much touted ‘trading psychology’.

As parts of a comprehensive active investing/trading plan, he will also explain “two canaries in the coal mine”, cyclical and structural stop losses, filters for picking shares and the timing and show how to collect ’12 + 2′ dividends every year in no more than 14 minutes per month.

Tahir will conclude by revealing the universal secret of simply, easily and unmistakably adhering to one’s plan of action.

In addition, prior to attaining executive roles at the ATAA, Tahir worked at 3M Australia Pty Ltd for several years before moving to Selleys Chemical Company (subsidiary of ORICA Ltd) as their National Quality Manager. He holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from the University of Oregon, Eugene.

With that, here are the key details to note for this event:
Date – Tuesday 1st May
Time – 5.30pm Registration; 6:00pm Seating
Location – Central Lecture Block 1

Like all of our events, this one is free with free food and drinks provided. There will also be networking opportunities after the presentation. Students of all disciplines are welcome!

We look forward to seeing you there!
